NTGSL is looking for current 12U / 14U Spring players to help players in our 6U division build their softball skills.
NTGSL has devloped the Jr. Coach program to help promote leadership skills to our older players while offering our 6U managers assistance needed at practice to maximize the skills our 6U players can obtain in 1 season. Often visual demonstration is helpful when coaching little ones. Not only will our 6U players benefit but Jr. Coaching has many of its own benefits developing leadership skills, gaining tru knowledge of concepts, and of course giving back is always a great benefit for all. Players that are in a club, class, or program that requires volunteer hours, if approved, we can track your hours.
Each Jr. Coach will be trained and given different techniques they may need to help in the 6U division. These Jr. Coaches are volunteers and are to be respected as such.
To date - Jr Coaches have worked with our 6U division on throwing technique, fielding a ground ball, introduced them to fly balls, and worked them out with batting swing. We haved worked in 3 separate sessions and had to cancel 2 due to weather. The 6U players are very interested to learn from their Jr. Coaches. - TB
